ICMR Research Repository and Analytics System (IRRAS)

The ICMR Research Repository and Analytics System (IRRAS) is a centralized digital platform designed to systematically capture, manage, analyze, and disseminate comprehensive information on retrospective and prospective health research activities of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). These activities include completed and ongoing research projects, fellowships, and workshops.

Since the inception of ICMR, health research records have been maintained across multiple manual and digitized systems. IRRAS has been developed to digitize and consolidate historical research data, ensuring uniformity, accessibility, and long-term preservation of research information.

IRRAS captures a wide spectrum of research activities, including ICMR-funded and externally funded projects, individual investigator-led projects, multicentric studies, task-force projects, research fellowships, Ph.D. programmes, institutional and institute-level research initiatives, as well as national and international research collaborations. The system is integrated with other key ICMR digital platforms, enabling seamless data flow and interoperability.

IRRAS empowers ICMR to perform advanced analytics and evidence-based assessment of research activities across disease domains, institutes, and individual scientists, thereby strengthening research monitoring, policy formulation, and strategic decision-making.
